Great Friends and an Excellent Weekend!

We just had the best weekend. Our awesome friends from Utah came to visit us this weekend. They arrived on Friday night and we spent time catching up a bit before bedtime. After a relaxing morning including games and yummy breakfast made by Hubby, we made our way to Zoo Boise and the Julia Davis Park. We had such a blast walking around with PP looking at all the animals and trying out the slides. We saw the blooming roses in the Rose Garden and enjoyed the scenic route home, showing some of the foothills and plenty of farmland and irrigation canals. Then we had a great Double Date to Red Robin (for unlimited fries) and to see the new Indiana Jones movie. My beautiful niece stayed with PP for us so that we could have some much-needed adult time. When we got home we enjoyed photos from college and some more visiting. Sunday involved church and our first Summer Picnic and BBQ with our new church family (we just became members two weeks ago). The men played Ultimate Frisbee and the women visited, watched kids on the playground, and sunbathed! The BBQ was a bit of a bust due to a faulty grill... but the food still ended up being good. Afterwards our friends headed home, but all of us agreed that it was an awesome weekend, one we wish to repeat, and just a great time spending a relaxing weekend as friends and as families. TJCS Talent Show

We went and saw my niece dance at her school's talent show last night. She was also a "talky person" (in other words, an Emcee)... Here she is!

Rejuve

So I have been taking this week to rest up after producing the show last Friday. It went really well and I am thankful for the evening. I am also thankful for the fact that it is over because it was very stressful towards the end and it was getting harder and harder to be away from Peter Parker. He was sick a lot during the rehearsals and it was difficult not to be at home with him. So we are resting up and enjoying the days together. Tomorrow is an exciting day because my older sister is coming for a visit!!! We have a gig at Living Water again this Friday night and she is coming to sing with us!!! We are really looking forward to the whole weekend. So... you'll see pics and maybe a video clip after this weekend!

Need a Till?

So Hubby placed an ad on Craig's List a couple weeks ago... advertising that he can help people get their gardens going by coming over and rototilling for them! He purchased this "tiller" and has been having fun with it.



Praise God, he now has two jobs lined up! Hopefully he'll get some more so we can pay for this thing! Either way... it's the first step to starting the company:

Hostess with the Mostest

We had our first dinner guests over tonight! We have lived here since around Labor Day weekend... didn't get a sink until we returned from Christmas Vaca... and finally now in May, we are ready to make dinner for someone other than ourselves and family! I was really excited to venture out and be brave and invite some people that we barely know to come eat with us. We had my friend, Stacey, who is another CM consultant who has been helping me out, and her family! I think that her husband, Dave, and Hubby hit it off. He invited him to come over and see THEIR renovations... so we had a great time and enjoyed getting to know them. We have a lot in common from football to favorite actors to favorite foods and even Oklahoma! It was pretty awesome.
