Starting to Walk

This is kind of a "sad" video due to the fact that I couldn't get the shot to be far enough away from him... and his desire to always been touching me at all times... but at least at one point you can see that he is taking steps. Up to four or five at a time. And he's very adventurous, speedy when crawling, and interested in all kinds of things he shouldn't. Notice at the end he is playing with a package of cabinet locks that NEED to be installed! Ha!

Thanksgiving Feast

Here's our big boy at his Kindergarten class Thanksgiving Day Feast. It was on Tuesday morning, their last day of school, before dismissal. The baby and I were able to stop by and see what was on the menu, plus snap a few photos of the big brother eating (well, supposed to be, more on that later...) with his friends! The girls were dressed as pilgrims and the boys as Indians. They each were able to help make their costumes. They also made Turkey party favor cups (decorated like a turkey and filled with popcorn and candy), Turkey napkin rings, Maps of the Mayflower's journey for place-mats, and the food. They mixed the batter for pumpkin bars and helped to fix the cornbread. They also had chicken legs, cranberry sauce, fried bread (something the Pilgrims ate supposedly), and green bean casserole.

Just sitting there, not eating...

And showing me things...

He was just too social to eat his feast, so we ate it in the car on the way home!
I enjoyed the pumpkin bar... Yum! Does anyone notice the "Shaw Thumb?!?!?!" ;-) Haha.

Walking???

I have a feeling that our little Baby is going to be walking by the end of the week. He's cruising around the furniture and today he started taking the few steps between items, solo!!!

He's very proud of himself!

Thanksgiving Week

Tomorrow Spiderman's class will be celebrating the holiday with a Thanksgiving Feast. Baby and I plan to join him and see his class dressed up as Native American Indians, as they chow down on turkey legs and candy tee-pees and pumpkin bars, etc. Today I believe they are preparing all the food for tomorrow. ;-) I will of course be sure to bring the camera with me!

It's a quiet week in our household this time around... so thankful for that! We are trying to wrap up some of the house projects that have been going on, do some Christmas shopping, hang the Christmas lights (which Hubby is SUPER excited to do this year as he has enough lights, that he got from work, to do the whole roof-line, etc.!), and of course bake and eat! I will really have to watch my points the rest of the week because I don't plan on counting them on Thursday! Wise choices will still be made, however!

The baby is cutting teeth. He hasn't been a happy boy of late. Poor little guy. I am hoping they make their appearance soon so we can all enjoy a more pleasant time at home together this week.

What are your plans?

Rolling, rolling, rolling...

Life just keeps rolling on. Why do I feel like I am struggling to keep up?!

Things have just been too crazy to blog lately. That is why all you've gotten is pictures! We have been doing some more renovations on our home and I am actually writing this while sitting in the new studio. It's an amazing room. I can't wait to post pictures when it is done! Right now I am surrounded by a lot of stuff and a lot of boxes and tomorrow morning I will start in with the sorting and putting away. I have an amazing pantry with 12 huge shelves to put things on. There is room down below for more storage as well. I can't wait to stock it up with all my FREE stuff... and some other stuff too, that I just don't have room for!

Saturday I hosted my first Kindermusik Playdate (free demo of classes). I got a few registrations and some interested people... don't know what will come of it, but I am hoping that God blesses me with lots of students over the next few months. I want to share this beautiful new space!

This week will be busy with preparations for my CM Open House and all-day workshop. Can you believe it's time to start Christmas shopping again?! I am shocked! I feel like it was just a little while ago that I was doing this and at the same time preparing to give birth to my baby! Now I have a little boy who is almost walking and another one who is learning to write in cursive at school every day. Life changes and it changes QUICKLY.

I guess we can just be thankful that each speedy day brings us closer to heaven and everlasting peace.
