Being a Single Parent...

So my hubby has been in Eugene, Oregon for the past week. He may have to stay for another week, most likely he will. We have been managing without him. I stay up kind of late at night so that I am exhausted when it's time to go to sleep... PP has been staying busy playing and hanging out with his cousin who came to sleepover one night. We went to Lobsy's house one evening to watch American Idol. Tomorrow night we are going to sleepover there because I have to get up early for an all-day CM and PP will be with their family for the day.

We miss the man and hope he comes home soon!!!

Peter Parker's first soccer practice...

Loves to kick, kick, kick! And wear all of his soccer-gear!

Hubby took PP to practice last week. He said that after a sort of rocky start, PP really began to enjoy the practice. He kicked the ball between the cones and ran around with the other kids on his team. He's the biggest boy, but not necessarily the more coordinated! :)

Tonight he goes for his second practice and I get to take him!

Gig on Friday Night at Living Water with sis...

Great time!

Sold a CD!

Doing it again soon!
Our band's working title: Fifteen Years
(what do you think? it's the difference in age between my sis and I)

My CM adventures of late...

So I have this big huge workshop planned for Saturday! I am participating in National Scrapbook Day at the Nampa Civic Center. I unfortunately only have 2 people coming with me which kind of disappoints me, but that's better than NONE! The entire event will involve several consultants and over a hundred customers.

I have been really busy trying to earn a consistency bonus. I met $1200 in sales in January and in February. If I can meet it in March I will earn this huge $$$ bonus!!! Anyone need to order anything??? :0)

Anyway, I am making new friends through this which is great and I am staying busy and having fun doing it! I have completed some more of my own albums which is good, too.

GOAL: To take more pictures of the events in our lives!!! Including the mundane...

The friends I am missing...

So, I have been going through a period of homesickness recently. I made a mistake and listened to a mix-CD that was given to me just before we moved by a dear friend in the Burgh. Since then, I have been missing all the people from RTCS and from my life there in Cory. I think that it's because Spring is in the air and RTCS's musical is in full-swing... unfortunately I won't be able to attend the show... there's just no plane ticket money right now. I had promised to come and had fully intended to go... but there's just no way. And now, I am directing my own show here, and can't really leave for too long a time anyway. Besides, being away from hubby right now only makes things harder... I just need more time to adjust to life out west, away from my old friends.

The good side of things is that I have some things to look forward to:
  • New friendships at church
  • New friend from the CM group here in Boise
  • Doing outdoorsy things with my sister and her family
  • My BIG sis is coming in July!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • My in-laws are coming in July as well!!!!
  • My BIL might come this summer!!!!
  • My brother is coming in August!!!!!
  • Summer days with NO humidity :0)

The play I am directing...

So I have been busily directing since the beginning of March. We have been having rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays... although there were a few days that got messed up because of the pink eye episode and some school days-off. April should be fairly consistent as I don't anticipate anything like that happening again. I am enjoying working with the kids. We rehearse for 50 minutes per grade. I have gotten through most of the scenes so far... some of the classes it is taking longer, but several are now doing run-throughs of the entire scene with me stopping them to correct and critique their interpretation, give new blocking, etc.

I am crazy working on costumes right now. I have my costume crew in full swing making togas, capes, knickers, shoulder drapes, etc. I am working on locating a Queen Elizabeth costume as well as a Ben Franklin, Beowulf, etc. One day soon I hope to place a big order from a Theater company that will take care of a quite a few things on my list...

I am checking things off one at a time until we get to May 9th! Then it will be "back to normal" again! Back to Pre-School with Peter Parker, hopefully!!!

Goings On and Goings

Hey there. We're back. We're better. Peter Parker and I came down with pink eye last week. Not sure how or why, but it happened. After a $200 trip to the Quick Care we had the diagnosis and medicine. Unfortunately PP was allergic to the drops and then developed hives and a fever, etc. He slept 14 hours a night for a couple days... which was interesting. But things are back to normal now...

So what have we been up to?

Well... my parents were in town (how can you forget, the countdown was on this blog for several weeks!) for a three-week visit with our family and Lobsy's. We had a great time getting lots done on our homes. I am going to post some pictures of the things my dad helped us accomplish. My mom also hemmed curtains (quite a few!) and we organized the garage and played with PP. We got some books at a thrift store and he is ADORING the one on insects. Eew!

Hubby passed all 3 of his licensing exams and is now a certified professional applicator for Scott's. He received a route: Caldwell and will begin making commission next week, now that he's licensed. He has had the highest production numbers in the company the past few days in a row and he's pretty proud of his new job! We are blessed.

My CM business has been keeping me busy! I have lots of customers to serve and lots of events to plan. I am very close to reaching a consistency bonus, so if anyone needs any CM products, order them in March and help me reach my goal! Pretty please. :)

I am directing at Foundations through May. So far rehearsals are going well. I am liking it more and more.

My parents left this past Wednesday, it's sad to see them go. We won't seem them for another nine months. But we have a visit from the in-laws and All Right Here to look forward to!!!

Love to you all. Glad to be back.
