Time with Grandpa and Grandma
Grandma and Grandpa arrived on Tuesday, July 1st, in the early afternoon. PP was so excited to go pick them up from the airport, and of course as soon as we got them home he showed them his room and all of his toys! He enjoyed very much playing with Grandpa. They played pirates, builders, Star Wars and built things with Legos. He and Grandma made biscuits and soft pretzels together. We went for walks to the playground a few times. We also spent a fun Saturday at Sandy Point Beach (Lucky Peak Resevoir), followed by a drive out to Idaho City (an old western town) to get old fashioned ice cream! We even shared July 4th with the Hoseleys at their Annual party. It was nice to share our new home with them! Hopefully they will be able to come again after the baby is born... we'll have to wait and see. Speaking of baby, Grandma and I organized all the baby clothes in the garage and now I know what I have and what I need to get! That was really fun and exciting to do!

Time with Auntie Emily, Family and Grandmom
Next, we enjoyed the arrival of Grandmom and the Smith family. They came so that her husband could do some work in the Boise area, but we got to enjoy the family while he was busy with that. We had a very packed schedule, rehearsals for our gig at LW on Friday night, followed by the gig, and then the very next day we woke up and went to Roaring Springs! What an incredibly fun day we had. PP was tall enough to ride on many of the slides this year. I ignored the warnings and rode on some of the rides myself, the smoother ones where I sat in a tube with PP. It was just so much fun. Most of us got sunburned, but not too bad. Sunday we went back to Sandy Point Beach for a hot dog BBQ and a swim in the water (just the teens and kids, the adults sat and talked). We were all pretty tired from our busy weekend, but it was nice to relax outdoors. Monday we went to the Buckaroo Breakfast and saw C dance with Tiernan. We enjoyed watching the Slack Competition as well. Grandmom spent Sunday night and Monday night at our house, so PP got to play with her as well. Tuesday the three sisters and Mom went out for lunch at the "Sand Bar" in Marsing, right on the Snake River. Yum! It was fun and something we want to do again sometime! Our last "hoorah" was the Snake River Stampede (Rodeo) on Tuesday night! The whole family was in attendance, even Emily's DH got to come! We loved the Bronco Riding and Bull Riding the most. There was also an awesome act involving a one-armed cowboy who rode his horse (without holding on!) while using a whip to round up two HUGE buffalos!
