Grandpop and Grandmom's Visit

My parents arrived the night before Spiderman's birthday for a three-week visit in Idaho! They drove across the country this time... so they were able to bring their own car and lots of stuff with them! We are enjoying some of the books and things from my childhood that have been at their house all this time... My dad built a garden gate/fence for our vegetables... we double the size of our garden this year. My mom is sewing quilted pillow shams for the boys, curtains, hemming pants for me and put Hubby's certified arborist patch on his jacket! We organized the pantry... installed a window A/C (so it's ready when this weather gets better!)... went to some yard sales... touched up paint all over the house... and more! They are staying at my sister's house at the moment, but they'll be back. Tomorrow we'll go to a Tball game together. It's nice to have them around. And very helpful when I have to teach a lesson!!!

Love you, Mom and Dad! Thanks for being here with us!
Here are some pictures from our time so far: (Heritage Day celebration at school--cattle roping cowboy!, Walter's Ferry with Hoseleys, building the fence and playing with Grandpop)

He's Okay.

My husband was in a car accident tonight. He had been out in Star doing two rototilling jobs and was on his way around 8pm. He was at the intersection of Franklin and Robinson. It was his turn at the stop sign so he pulled out into the road and more than half-way across, a woman driving a Charger ran right into him! She completely crunched the front of her rental car (she's from VA, here visiting family) but apparently the truck just has a dent in the fender. I haven't seen it yet since he didn't make it home until 10pm and it's too dark to go see... Unfortunately there seems to be some damage to the steering wheel, etc. so we are going to take the truck in to get it looked at. Obviously any damages will be covered by her insurance. Praise God for protecting my wonderful husband! Things could have turned out a different way, but I am so glad that he came home tonight, safe and sound. Thank you, Lord for your protection!

Update:
The truck will be sitting at home for a few days...the front L tire is leaking really bad (you can actually hear it hissing) so we taped it up... and if you look closely it appears that maybe the axel is bent, notice the tire is tilted. Anyway, we'll see when the guy comes tomorrow to check it out, if he actually shows up...

Smiles

10pm tonight...still up do to the fact that we had some trouble with older brother's treatment of his baby brother...we had to wait up for Daddy to return from Hunter's Ed to discipline. These photos were taken after apologies had been made. Pretty special moment to see the joy and love after such trouble!

What a Good Big Brother!

Tonight, while I took care of some CM business at my desk, Spiderman spent some time reading to Baby. A Squirrel's Tale in his own words. He sat there for at least 30 minutes "reading it"... while Baby sat very quietly and watched his big brother, listening all the while! It was pretty special. Here's a little bit of it!

If you're interested in knowing more about where Mr. Oz was this evening, stay tuned... a blog about Hunter's Education a.k.a. "Hunting with the BeeGees" is coming!
